Janelle Monáe at AfroPunk in Brooklyn

“Oh my goodness, I LOVE BROOKLYN!!!”
These were the first words JM said when she got off of the stage after tearing it down at the Afropunk festival in BK. The crowd was full of energy and so appreciative of Jane’s cybersoul.

In attendance were skaters, bikers, singers, painters, photogs, and artists of every shape, size, age, and color. It was like a huge pot of Afropunk Gumbo!

We’ll be back very soon!

*special thanks to James Spooner, Afrika Bambaataa and Fab 5 Freddy for the warm reception.
